Dr. Natasha Montroy, ND is a compassionate and experienced Naturopathic Doctor with over 20 years in primary and integrative health care. She founded Vancouver Island Naturopathic Clinic Inc. in 2005 with a mission to improve access to care and create a safe, respectful, and inclusive space. She has a special interest in Women's Health and bringing up to date evidence based care to women from puberty to menopause.
Dr. Montroy blends traditional and modern medicine to provide personalized care that combines natural and conventional treatment options. Her educational
background includes attending the University of Victoria Science in Biology and she obtained her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in Toronto. She is one of the first Naturopathic Physicians in BC to obtain prescriptive authority and BCCDC certification in immunization. She also holds certifications in acupuncture, immunization and IV therapy, and is a member of the Menopause Society having completed extensive training in HRT and menopause care.
Dr Montroy also has a special interest in fertility and has worked collaboratively with thousands of patients trying to conceive and undergoing reproductive therapies in collaboration with our local fertility clinics for over 20 years. Her care is inclusive of the LGBTQIA2S+ community and individuals who menstruate or have a uterus. She has completed training in screening and treatment of high masking, female presentation ADHD, ASD and coexisting conditions providing neuro affirmative care for ages and stages.
Outside of clinical work, Dr. Montroy enjoys hiking, paddle boarding, swimming, and running. As a mother of two teenagers, she emphasizes the importance of preventative health care in development to support wellness at every life stage. Her personal passion is immersing herself in ongoing women's health education and ongoing research in neuroaffirmative care with a focus on longevity and health span enhancement for both personal & professional growth.

Perimenopause & Menopause: She offers individualized assessment, education, hormone testing and treatment with both non hormonal and hormone replacement treatment options from a lived experience perspective for women at each stage of life especially through out the roller coaster phase from perimenopause to menopause using both natural and pharmaceutical treatment options to both manage symptoms and support each individual with their unique needs.
Weight loss and Body Composition Optimization: Dr. Montroy focuses on educating you on achieving your optimal body composition with a strong focus on diet and lifestyle management. Patients will be offered body composition testing to support tailoring their treatment plan and for monitoring progress. Pharmaceutical and nutriceutical treatment options available as indicated.
Preconception & Fertility: She offers comprehensive care including assessments, physical exams, laboratory testing for each person or individual, semen analysis, offering natural and mainstream treatment options. She is trained in acupuncture for both natural conception support and for support for ART (IUI, IVF, ICSI). Over 20 years of collaboration with Victoria Fertility Clinic & Olive Fertility.
Pregnancy: Partner-inclusive, collaborative care integrating natural and mainstream treatment options in pre conception and pregnancy with a focus on nutrition at each stage, treatment of pregnancy related concerns, prenatal education, labour planning, postpartum and lactation support. Dr. Montroy, ND is a certified breastfeeding counsellor (Douglas College) and offers support postpartum including care for newborns and up.
Children’s Health: With over two decades of experience and as a mother of two, Dr. Montroy offers care from birth onward. Services include well-child exams & education for every stage of development, food introduction guidance, management of pick eaters, assessment and treatment of common childhood complaints, immunization education (licensed & supports BC Schedule), behaviour screening and support, food intolerance testing, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
Mental Health & Neurodivergence: Dr. Montroy offers neuroaffirmative integrative care for anxiety, depression, OCD, mood disorders, stress, and insomnia. She completed training in neuroaffirmative care offering supportive health care for Autistic Persons (especially in high masking female presentation), and persons with ADHD, Tourette’s and learning differences utilizing lifestyle, natural and pharmaceutical options. Sensory needs are respected, and longer appointments or appointments at quieter clinic times are available upon request. We offer self check in allowing you to remain in the comfort of your vehicle or in a quieter environment of your choice until your in clinic appointment time. Virtual visits always available.

Teaching & Community Involvement
Dr. Montroy has taught Emergency Medicine at CCNM and Boucher Institute, and served as associate professor at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy. She’s dedicated to inclusive, culturally respectful care particularly for First Nations and 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals. She is actively involved with BCND and a member of the Menopause Society.
