Upcoming Seminars Natural Pregnancy Wed, Oct 22 Pearkes 8 - 9:30 pm Dr. Natasha Montroy ND will help you achieve a healthy pregnancy naturally. She will introduce you to each trimester of pregnancy and teach you how to support each stage with nutrition, herbal medicine and supplementation. She will also discuss treatment options to the most common pregnancy related ailments including morning sickness, heartburn, aches and pains etc. Natural labour and delivery support will also be included. She will discuss natural preconception care, basal body temperture assessment, ovulation prediction, as well as natural ways to support both male and female fertility. Menopause Wed Sept 24th, 2008 Pearkes 8 - 9:3pm Menopause is a natural change in a woman's body that affects appearance, well-being, mood and sexual function. Dr. Natasha Montroy, ND will explain what these changes are, why they occur and how they affect your body. Courses for Healthcare Professionals Only CPR-HCP and CPR C Recert Sun July 13 2008, 9am-1pm Gordon Head Recreation Centre This session aims to train naturopathic doctors and other healthcare professionals including medical reception staff to respond to threatening clinical emergencies in an efficient manner. By completion of this course, a participant will be able to identify and manage airway, respiratory and circulatory emergencies for adults, children and infants, perform 1 and 2 person CPR and be trained in effective use of AED's and BVM's. Clinical Emergency Inservice Sun July 13 2008, 1pm -5pm Gordon Head Recreation Centre This portio of the course is focused on emergency clinical response and effective in house procedures and management of common medical emergencies. Will cover administration of emergency medications, IV hydration, oxygen therapy, oral airways, patient carries and rolls, removals from hydrotherapy environments, blood sugar assessment, spinal injury management and much more..... $60 per person.
